Art practice
Artist statement:
My distinct experiences growing up surrounded by water serve as a powerful beacon for my art practice. The quietness, constant change, and fluidity of water shape a curious lens through which I view the world.
Rooted in an investigation of natural properties, my work has evolved into an informal survey of science. I thoughtfully explore this intersection through a variety of mediums—photography, oil paint, and even a microscope. I revel in unique results and artifacts and honor them as an integral part of my process.
My sharp fascination is driven by artistic pursuit, creating an ebb and flow that blurs the barrier of definition between art and science.
Ultimately, my work is an opportunity to understand and experiment with natural forms in a casual atmosphere, encouraging conversations about form, light, and being.
